Well I made the soup tonight – I ended up only putting 4 cans of clams in as I bought the last four off the shelf lol. What a chore making it but it’s worth every bite – we decided not to put the immersion blender to it – better half wanted it chunky – mmmmmm it was delicious and one soup that I will be making often.

Glad you asked, ’cause that sounds like a lot of clams, right? It’s just 5 cans total. I stuck the “each” in there to avoid the awkward “5 6-1/2 ounce cans” instruction. 😉
I don’t have a cream of mushroom soup recipe, but I do have a couple of other creamy-ish soups, like this one and this one.

I made this. It was by far one of the best New England Clam Chowders i’ve ever had in my life.
It’s a little pricy if you don’t have everything on hand but after the first time you make it you are good!

Aw, thanks, Phyllis! I didn’t like clam chowder for years, but I think it was due to a vague I-got-the-flu/I-ate-clam-chowder-last-night thing, that put me off of it. And anyway, I’ve had issues with seafood for years. The first time I prepared lobster, there were all sorts of disaster scenarios going through my mind. So I’m hardly one to point the finger in the “not diggin’ it” department!
