It’s not necessary to wait. In fact, making it ahead of time will let the miso fully infuse the soup with its umami flavor. Just take care when reheating to make sure the coconut milk remains emulsified (it should; I just don’t like to boil coconut milk too many times. A gentle simmer should be fine).
