Hi Nancy, Instructions for the beans were listed in Step 7. Ingredients are added in that particular order only to minimize the chance of a Burn warning caused by the tomato products touching the bottom of the pot. If you don’t get a burn warning, everthing’s fine.

Put the whole thing together and realized the beans were not in the pot…worked them in from the top. We will see how this turns out.
